Ben Oberfeld – Two sport big guy from Minnessota:
GH: What is the latest on recruitment for you? Are you still undecided on what sport you are going to play in college? Is it that you like basketball when basketball season is going on and football when football season is going on?

Ben Oberfeld: Yes, that is exactly it. Right now, I would say more basketball, but as far as basketball goes, Lehigh, Drake and Bucknell are up there. North Dakota State, Santa Clara and South Dakota State.

Kevin Johnson – SG out of Ohio. Lists an LU offer but also has multiple offers from Big East, Big Ten, and A-10. Clearly not a likely get.

Michael Owona – 6’9 big guy with a developing offensive game but all the tools and already a defensive presence. Rivals lso lists interest from Bucknell and Penn.

George Langberg – per Cornell Basketball site. Also Harvard, Lafayette, Belmont, & San Diego.

Montana Mayfield – per Cornell Basketball site. Also lists Princeton, Lafayette, Harvard & Bucknell

Peter Miller – per Alex Kline tweet:
TheRecruitScoop Alex Kline
Lehigh’s Brett Reed saw 2013 Northfield Mount Hermon (MA) center Peter Miller & Navy saw his teammate, Spike Albrecht, a 2012 guard.

Jakob Hartsock – per Alex Kline:
RT @Sam_Duren: 2013 Bartlesville (OK) PF Jakob Hartsock has an offer from Missouri St, along with interest from BYU, Utah St & Lehigh.

Spencer Weisz – per Alex Kline:
TheRecruitScoop Alex Kline
Spencer Weisz lists Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, Princeton, Penn, Columbia, Northwestern, Bucknell, Colgate, Lafayette, Lehigh & Holy Cross.

Bryan Rivers – per Alex Kline:

Spencer Weisz lists Yale, Brown, Dartmouth, Princeton, Penn, Columbia, Northwestern, Bucknell, Colgate, Lafayette, Lehigh & Holy Cross.

Daniel Aronowitz – per Alex Kline
TheRecruitScoop Alex Kline
2013 Columbus Academy (OH) wing Daniel Aronowitz lists Lehigh, Wofford, Citadel, NJIT, William & Mary, Cornell, Yale & Colgate.

Billy Daniels
As he continues to progress, Billy has the chance to be the best Daniel yet. He’s added 15 pounds of muscle since last year and is being recruited by Cornell and Albany in New York and Lehigh University in Pennsylvania.

If I’ve said it once I’ve said it 100 times, but we love midwest these days…and why not…if DC is legit, Ohio has been good to LU, real good.

Two new names:

Seth Youngblood (great name) – http://www.tulsaworld.com/sportsextra/article.aspx?subjectid=230&articleid=20120408_230_B10_CUTLIN906766

Monty Boykins – apparently Monty was on campus on Friday and the staff gave him an offer then: http://cincinnati.com/blogs/recruiting/2012/04/09/lehigh-offers-lakota-west-guard-monty-boykins/

I have added both to the running list of 2013 prospects

Man – do we ever have the market cornered on 6’3 guards out of the great state of ohio!?!?! CJ, DC, and now maybe MB! Pretty quick release, very quick, seems more of a shooter then slasher but seems athletic and a good get.

Boykins article confirming offer:

From espn.com on DJack – Jack will still consider Duquesne as well as schools such as Penn State, Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech, VCU, Belmont, Drexel and LaSalle, among others.

On Monty Boykins video … He doesn’t look quick enough or have a good enough handle to play the point at the collegiate level. He plays at the PG in a lot of the highlights, but I think he projects more as a (2) wing scorer, who can shoot it and slash to the hoop. I don’t know if he is athletic enough to get his shot off easily at the college level. That slow back pedal down the court after he hits the jumper is worrisome to me. Doesn’t look like a premium athlete.

2013 East Coast Fusion (VA) wing Nick Gorski has a Jacksonville offer, along with interest from Cornell, UIC, Furman, Lehigh & others.

Pards seem to be stocking up bigs according to Board. HC likes Aussie kids. No idea whether any of them are any good

Two more local names per RecruitRecon.
Greg Noack from Bethlehem Liberty
Matt Husek from Bethlehem Catholic

Also per RecruitRecon, Patrick Strake from TX who lists a ton of schools including the likes of Kansas and Kentucky.

As long as these guys can play at this level, and I think Noack definitely can, I am all for getting more local kids involved in the program. Can only help local coverage and attendance. I’ve added all three to the list.
