For those of you who had the opportunity to go to the lacrosse match tonight but talked themselves out of it, you missed a real treat.
To begin with, the announced crowd was 2,096, a Ulrich record. It was essentially SRO. I even spotted Dr. Gast and her husband standing along the fence. But that didn’t include the 200-300 stand ing along the outer fence. Tonight they charged a $5 admission. The crowd was into it and the game lived up to it’s billing. The score was within 1 almost the entire game with Lehigh prevailing in the final 13 seconds. Lehigh was the much more physical team but Bucknell moves the ball around better than any team I’ve seen in years. Eisenreich is the real deal. Now we need Bucknell to defeat Colgate next week to ensure Lehigh gets the home field for the Patriot League playoffs. If that happens, Ulrich should really be rocking and rolling.
BTW, from this old guy’s perspective, the scenery was absolutely extraordinary.

Did not get home until after 2:30 AM. Hell of a game. We were also on the fence. LU D is outstanding. Best slides and doubles I can recall. O was out of sync most of the night but Fantoni came up big. We dominated faceofss and groundballs. Too many unforced TOs. Noone awesome on D. Last home game I went to was 2004. Biggest crowd I’ve ever seen . Easily 2500 including us on the fence.

According to Bison, game only drew 432. But, Bucknell did draw over 4,000 for fencing.

LOL

They do so love their fencing and waterpolo out in lewisburg. A bit of a surprise looking at Bison Board, not a mention of Lax, which is their best team. Their fixation 12 months a yr on Bball is scary. altho, to be honest wish our board would start to get similar amount of traffic. Lots of viewers very few posters. Ohwell suppose it will improve over time

“According to Bison, game only drew 432. But, Bucknell did draw over 4,000 for fencing.”

Is the above just a stupid post, or is there some hidden code?

Just a reminder, Bucknell’s big game with Colgate on Friday at 7:00 will be televised on CBS College Sports. Best of luck to the Bison. I really want the Patriot League playoffs at Ulrich.

Sorry Bison, I think it was a joke. I think this is a passive aggressive comment because you did not post for days after LU beat BU. I really think it was a joke because you always have an accurate count of attendees at sporting events.
