Re: Week-End Salvo: Special Early East Coast Edition

Re: Week-End Salvo: Special Early East Coast Edition
There isn't a college wrestler in the nation getting $600k! Again, I talk with other alumni from programs and the most common deal is a 1 year car lease and about $20k per year. If they are lucky, a few athletes pick up some local endorsement deals for about $10k a pop. HFO is spot on.100% correct. ...

Re: JOHN SMITH retires
Was wrong about Taylor being the top money earner. When John Smith went for his second he probably only got a stipend that did not even cover meals and travel. Mookie was in the transfer portal. I heard interest from Michigan, Cornell and Lafayette. No deal was worked out and he is staying with Lehigh.

Re: JOHN SMITH retires
250K is still 1/4 million to me. Taylor has earned more than wrestler, just shy of 1/2 million. The trials was his only competition since '23 worlds and Brooks had extra pep. According to posters on themat.com if it was the NFL he would be gone already. 3 months of training and Taylor might have a s...

Re: JOHN SMITH retires
Hidley won by injury default. There will be no more matches. If Brooks is ruled ineligible for unannounced use of Adderall then Taylor goes. If he declines it is Hidley. Valencia is not on the team. USA wrestling decided to put this concrete procedure in place to avoid the controversies in the past ...
