Re: Monmouth
Owl, spot in regard to community engagement. First, move game to 1 p.m. Currently the band plays our National Anthem before 50 fans on the home side. I am not kidding! Get rid of the $18 General Admission. All GA tix should be $5 until further notice. Kids under 12 free. (Lafayette game exception)....

Re: Nothing against the new coach, but Nate Milne was the better choice.
I'd guess if Muhlenberg is like other DIII schools, it offers plenty of nonathletic aid to middle and lower income students humble enough to know they're not big or fast enough to play in DI (regardless of sport) and will never play in the pros. I know too many kids who just want to go to DI to expe...

Re: Monmouth
Oh … boy. This is going to be one for the record books. After hearing results of other games so far today, this season could be one for the books. Is it possible we could win only one game this year? I think last time that happened was in 1967 under Fred Dunlap in his third season. He was 1-8 and 0...

Late 1990s offense
I ran into a former Towson State defensive player -- I'm guessing he was a LB or CB -- the other day. When I told him I went to Lehigh, he told me how impressed he was playing LU -- in the late 1990s, when Towson was in the Patriot League and didn't always win, even with their stud QB Joe Lee. The o...

Re: Dartmouth
I don't consider the great majority of FBS schools as playing college football. It is the NFL's minor leagues, or development leagues like the NBA, and I have been losing interest in the product. It's all about the Benjamins, now.
+1, sadly. The FCS (look at JUM, App State, others ...

Re: Dartmouth
Beating Bucknell and Georgetown would get the team to three wins, maybe pick up more against Colgate and Lafayette, and Monmouth (1-3). I can see wins over Bucknell, Colgate and Georgetown. Don't see the Mountain Hawks having the horses to defeat Lafayette or Monmouth, IMO. +1, though I think anyth...

Re: Cornell
You really can’t blame Cahill for the quality of the roster. He was hired too late in the game to make a big difference recruiting wise. There are clearly some very good players just not enough. How he recruits next year will be the acid test to determine the future direction of the program. From a...

Re: Merrimack
I was most impressed by our D's fight and aggressiveness. Especially in the fourth quarter, holding on to our two point lead we did not lapse into the ol' "Prevent", but kept the pressure on. DeNucci was fantastic, but he had a lot of support. Punter was excellent, which I have always vie...
