At the annual Student Athlete Convocation today, Jordan Wood Was named the Outstanding Graduating Male Athlete as well as the John A Cable Leadership Award
Max Brignola was named Outstanding Freshman Athlete. Not bad for someone who was on redshirt for half the season.

Re: Logan Wadle
Bobby Weaver was a generational talent. I mean the guy went on to win an Olympic Gold medal. Not a fair comparison. Bobby Weaver was certainly a great talent. IMO, however a comparison may not be valid in that Bobby won his gold medal at 105# when he was 25 YO. Fun Facts Sheldon Seymour won his 1st...

Re: Logan Wadle
Bobby Weaver won his junior year PIAA title at 98. His Sr year he won at 105, but wrestled 98 in the "Dapper Dan". A 2 or 3 in NJ is outweighed only by a champ in about 10 of the 150 or so state championships. (has anyone an accurate count on them?) Just to expand a bit, I believe Bobby w...

Abby Tabaka
Wallington
Tabaka returned to the field after sitting out after her transfer and immediately went to work. She hammered two homers in a win over Holy Angels and she finished the week 8-11 with five extra base hits seven RBI and nine runs scored.

Re: 2023 Offers
I think over time, this young man has changed high schools an states and perhaps reclassified. He originated at New London HS in CT and is shown as a freshman in '18-'19 and in the Class of '22. Now apparently he is rated as the #1 player in Rhode Island ..#20 in New England He looks very athletic i...

Re: 2022 Division I Scholar All-America Awards
There are at least 5 EIWA schools that are notable by their absence.
(Lehigh, Princeton, Harvard, AWP and USNA)
The forthcoming rationale should be interesting.

Re: U.S. Senior Open
Belief is a delicate thing. When you have it, it's hard to defeat. IMO< Jordan Wood advanced a strategy last year to gain weight and strength. He executed that strategy and showed everyone things have shifted --- in his favor. More importantly, it appears HE believes. Now with the pressure of colle...
