Re: Little This..Little That and a Question

Talking about the team NCAA sent to the play-in game, instead of about 3 lower ranked teams. Yeah, I should have remembered it was after the 2000(?) football playoff team that was told ~"you can't possibly defeat Western Illinois, or draw as many fans"~, the team that then won ~33-0 over t...

Re: And the Head Coach Clock restarts. Tick-Tock....

Lax, around 1970 the Brown and White ran a picture of Taylor Stadium holding 8,000 fans with #1 Lehigh hosting Navy. It was part of Spring House-party. We had 5 national champs in that era, although NCAA did not recognize Lacrosse until after WW2 That era ended around 1927 when Faculty decided to &q...

Re: Little This..Little That and a Question

What is interesting is that our BB team typically is no more than 3-4 guys from Pa NJ, But 3 of the 6 best guys, (that I know of are local. ACC, Becahi, Pottstown.) - pretty sure Fortune was from Mechanicsville, NY, Upstate, near(50 miles) Albany.

Re: Little This..Little That and a Question

Polaha and CJ are obviously our all time guards. Queenan our all time small Forward. I would assume Kempton is in there somewhere. If the fifth guy were Bob Fortune, Kempton would obviously be the Center, If Fachenbach were the 5th, he would be the Center, and Kempton forward. I also am '72 or am I ...

Re: Little This..Little That and a Question

Hard to retire the jersey of someone who barely played his senior year. :D

I am not the expert you guys are, but would Kempton be on track for /number retirement in 4 years? Would that not mean, ideally, 2 guards and 2 forwards retired, meaning we are missing a legendary center?

Re: Injuries

Women seem more vulnerable to ACL injuries than men. But I think they recover a month or two faster from massive reconstruction. Just a quick evaluation and guess. 1988, the first season in Goodman, I Don't think I got to a home game until maybe last weekend of October. At that point National total ...

The entire PL would have to go along with the guidelines for the scholarships/fin aid.. The Ivy League has made the decision that they will offer every student the same package, so that is why they can offer as many kids as they do, the way they do. I talked to Joe at one of the games, and he said ...

Re: On to the Mountaineers.....

I noticed in the paper that Princeton beat #17 Arizona St, who had beaten #1 Kansas.

So we can go to #1 with just 3 degrees of separation. I wonder if we have been ever even within 10 degrees before.
