Re: EIWAs day two

The key to the team finish was cu placing 9 guys to our 8. For some time now it hasn't been possible to win EIWAs with an 8-man team. Those days are over. I think 2016 was the time that we scored 160 and took second. I didn't think it was possible, practically speaking, to score that many points an...

23 bonus points on Day One. Not too shabby.

Re: EIWA's Day 1

I was kind of surprised by the thin programs too, esp. since Bucknell did such a great job in 2017. Their EIWA website is terrific, in case anyone hasn't seen it: https://bucknellbison.com/sports/2023/11/30/120th-eiwa-championships-tournament-central I've heard that the teams lose money printing tho...

Re: EIWA Darkhorses

'll go along with Swisher, who spent much of the season at 157. I was thinking along similar lines earlier, but I was looking at someone from down in the weeds who might place unexpectedly, possibly high enough to qualify for NCAAs. I didn't come up with many -- 133 Andrew Fallon, Sacred Heart, 14-...

Columbia's Rini out at 133. No surprise there.

Harvard's Josh Kim out at 165. Penn's Kaya Sement also out at 165.

Re: EIWAs Pre Seeds

I certainly like Griffin at #6. Griffin is pre-seeded 3rd. He was 6th in the last EIWA rankings (not sure what those are based on). If he makes the semis he'll probably meet the winner of a Williams/Smith quarterfinal. Williams has beaten Griffin twice this year, but he lost a major to Smith in the...

Re: EIWAs Pre Seeds

Lehigh with four #1, three #3, #7, #9, #15.

Crookham's likely quarter-final opponent, Rini of Columbia, hasn't wrestled since December.

Army's Dalton Harkins, who wrestled exclusively at 165 this year, is entered at 184.
