2021 OFFERS

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

BTW, in the absence of Lehigh football this fall, most high schools are still playing. I think Hartman's first game is this Saturday. I wish him well.
The young man tweeted that he is announcing on Wednesday. Tweet liked by Allen and DiMichele. Hope that means us. :D

Fingers crossed. 2 Star from one service with a lot of offers.

LB is IMO our position of greatest need. We won't have a great deal of depth after this season.

probably correct at least for the 2 ILB positions, we have numbers at LB with 7 FR and SO on roster, no JRs, and almost no game experience for the FR and So, the 2 OLB positions are really a DE and the rover which is generally staffed by a DB, assuming we stay with the same scheme, TG has done really well with recruiting numbers across all position groups and we now have the largest roster since I don't know when

A guessing game at this point as to who goes where.
At OLB/Rover. , Slater jr and Michaels so return. At OLB no one returns. At ILB Haffner sr Norris sr Pilson so and Bland so back.
Of the frosh DeNucci is a classic ILB. As is Demorat a WO. Bell has the size but could easily fit outside also.
10 total for 4 spots is not a deep group.
I would not be surprised if at least 1 of the Safeties was moved up.

Looking around PL to check on recruiting. Fairly quiet. Mostly announcemnts to Elsewhere Us. Did notice on 247 that Fordham up to 222 offers. 247 only tracks prospects in their data base. Odds are the actual number is higher.

Given all the States deferring football to the Spring dont be surprised if NCAA adjusts recruiting guidelines to adapt to a new '21 recruiting period to accommodate the changes in HS football. Offers now are based on Junior seasons. Most offers particularly at our level are Senior offers.

with both McClousky and O'Neil graduated, not sure how much depth we have at safety/rover to move up, Leach Buckrham and ??

Only Neal had any time at S. Bush got PT at CB but at 6'0 185 could move over. Rakowsky likewise could move. Lawhead is the fastest of the bunch & at 195 could be a fit. Duncan a stud but can he level up as a frosh. Melzer also could be a candidate

Duncan may be Nic Lucien from Bethlehem Catholic and Wyoming Seminary.

Here is my pet peeve. Perhaps this will change under Gilmore but we had a real tendency to convert full size ILB to DE as soon as they got to be around 240#. Laub comes immediately to mind but I know there were others. Mike Groome came here as a 225# LB and graduated as a 245# All-American LB. There was a reason the pile didn't move. Billy Boyko from that same era came in as a 210# LB and graduated as a 235# LB who made the Raiders camp as a 245# LB. Instead of moving undersized safeties up, we should be developing real beef inside. Just my opinion.
