Just finished watching Brant Hall's online interview. What an outstanding human being. He is a real credit to the University and the Football program. If our current coaches don't involve him in the recruiting process we are missing out on his special talent to connect with people and project sincerity and honesty.

Thanks for pointing this out -- it was a super interview.

Those were fun teams to watch.

Has there ever been a better 1-2 QB combo at LU (Hall and Ciannello)?

Number wise. McGowan was #1 in TO Gong into Game 6. when he went down with half to go. Harris replaced him, and was #1 in Passing going into Lafayette. He went down wit a quarter to go. I don't knw where they ended up in the final rankings as 6 games should have counted. they were both seniors. Brunner, a junior took over, He was pretty decent alhough obviously not as good as his brother.

McQuilkem, Alieo, Sterrett was also a pretty good 1-2-3

Joe Alleva played football and baseball at Lehigh and was football captain in 1974. He received his bachelor’s degree in 1975 majoring in finance and served as a graduate assistant football coach for Lehigh, earning an MBA in 1976.

And of course was AD at Duke, then LSU. Did he retire?

I believe I was told that he was retiring as AD at LSU last year but was staying on in some other role at the University.

Interesting story on the retired ex-LU QB/AD Joe from January:

Says as of January he was living near Sarasota, Fla., near family, but was under contract through June.
