Signing Day

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

Talent over size but it would be great to have a big fella at NG. We offered a lot of them. Didnt get one yet.

Quick count of possible returners
DL. 10
OL. 12
WR. 10
DB. 14
LB. 7
TE. 4
QB. 5
RB. 5
Ks. 3
LS. 1

Assuming LU still a 3-4 next year. LBs are our biggest need I think.
Caveat . A fair number of the returners are WOs. I would be surprised if they all came back next season.

For those interested..here is a podcast done on signing day with Blake Hartman. The first part deals entirely with Lehigh and how Blake made his choice and why he stuck with his commitment.

Besides being a great football player he is well spoken, very grounded and carries a 4.5 GPA

Thanks TMH. A great listen. The young man is quite impressive. Well spoken and mature.

Well worth 10 minutes to listen.

Yeah, but of the 10 DL returning, 6 are SR and JR and nearly all of the underclassmen are DEs and less than 240 #, our D is not stopping the run because scat backs are running off tackle and around the end, this class needs replacements for the SR and JR DL and I don't see it

the fact that all the SRs can get a 5th year (per NCAA at least) is a big unknown, not sure how PL will come down on this, for example LB is a need, but what if Norris and/or Haffner decide to come back, then the need is substantially less, wonder if coaches have good intel on this?

For those on Twitter Lehigh Football is posting family videos for each signee. A great idea from Coach DMike.

I'm really impressed by the early signees: lots of size! QB looks really interesting. #2.

Good to see 230-pound freshman linebacker; 6-9, 300+-pound lineman.
