Scrimmage
Scrimmage
Anyone able to watch the scrimmage ? From what little I learned, Perri and Silbor split time at QB. Unclear whether it was 1s and 2s in separate units or a mixed squad..
Re: Scrimmage
I’m hoping Silbor is the starter. He has the better arm and, IMHO, a lot more upside.

Re: Scrimmage
Regardless of who starts, I hope we can get back a time -- perhaps no more evident than the Hall-Ciannello era -- when two guys are as good as any QB starter in the league, when this team perhaps was as deep as it's ever been.

Luke ,one hell of a back up QB. What a pair. Kinda surprised at the dearth of eyewitness reports. Other than a few pictures, nothing from Lehigh Football. We can only speculate. Picture day for players today. Maybe some news this weekSundayamqb wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2023 7:25 pm Regardless of who starts, I hope we can get back a time -- perhaps no more evident than the Hall-Ciannello era -- when two guys are as good as any QB starter in the league, when this team perhaps was as deep as it's ever been.

Re: Scrimmage
The talent level back then was very impressive! Hell, they finished in the Top 25 and deserved a playoff bid in 2003 with their punter, Kyle Keating, leading the way at QB!!Sundayamqb wrote: ↑Mon Aug 21, 2023 7:25 pm Regardless of who starts, I hope we can get back a time -- perhaps no more evident than the Hall-Ciannello era -- when two guys are as good as any QB starter in the league, when this team perhaps was as deep as it's ever been.

Re: Scrimmage
Media interviews did provide some news. Coach Cahill has not picked a #1 QB. At this point ,he seems to leaning towards the hot hand gets the call.

Re: Scrimmage
I watched the WFMZ piece; typical local media presentation which is fine. I was taken back A LITTLE BIT by Cahill saying the Villanova game is not the Super Bowl rather "nothing more" than an opportunity to compete against someone against another colored jersey. IMO, the Villanova game is the 'Cahill Era's" foundation builder thus is extremely important moving forward. Given the new staff, game prep, game day organization, rotations, injuries etc. will have a significant impact on the ensuing weeks. While I do agree that ultimately the outcome is not overly important (trust me, I want Lehigh to win) how Lehigh performs for 60 minutes has significance.
I sat in the rain against Albany for Coen's first home opener. Lehigh lost a very winnable game because they did A LOT of dumb stuff. Interestingly. they bounce backed and beat Villanova the following week. While, Lehigh football was obviously in a much better place in 2006, the inconsistencies (especially on offense) which showed up in week one and week two would be a Lehigh trademark during Coen's first four years.
