Monmouth
Re: Monmouth
At this point there is no act to get together. I really wonder if anyone at LU cares. Some here continue to say “we’re going to do it right”. Well, at this rate we’ll all be dead and gone before things improve. Use the portal, and every tool in the toolbox now!

Re: Monmouth
Geez old timer how much time you got left? Sounds like about 15mins.
Gonna take longer than that. 3yrs I’d say.

Ha! Plenty, but at the current rate LU is moving, I have my doubts

Re: Monmouth
Does Cahill speak to the press? Any of the assistants required to offer any type of insight?
With an angry Fordham team up next in the Bronx is where is this headed? One glaring problem I see with Lehigh football the last 5-6 years is a lack of accountability from the top down.

This is literally the response I got to the question, "Is there a thought to hit the reset button in any way?"Go Lehigh TU Owl wrote: ↑Sun Oct 01, 2023 7:58 pm Does Cahill speak to the press? Any of the assistants required to offer any type of insight?
"No... We had some positives, but it’s really hard to see a positive in 49-7. We’re going to look at those small glimmers of positivity and try to build on those. Every single one of these kids could quit right now and pack it in for the season, but they’re not going to do that. They’re continuing to learn, continuing to come in and they’re continuing to develop.
“We have to continue to build the culture and we have a lot of fixing to do.”

Can Cahill possibly believe that nonsense? Coach Speak 101.

Re: Monmouth
Honestly what is he supposed to say? Trying to keep the kids trying and up and build on whatever positives there were. He needs at least 2 solid recruiting classes to field a halfway decent team but he still has the play the schedule in front of him with the guys he has now. I'm looking out the rest of the schedule and I'm not sure there's another win out there. Maybe 1

He was a good hire stepping into an awful spot.
I don’t blame him for saying what he did.
He knows the game and no doubt during interviews he told the AD what he expected this year.
Something Joe S. already knew.
Lehigh has thrown away five years thanks to Gilmore, that means a lot to young players and old fans.

Re: Monmouth
Prediction. Will have less than 15 wins over next 5 years. Not the guy. Lehigh as an institution is a mess of mediocrity and lack of leadership and a clear competitive strategy. Football will be least of worries over next 5 years.

Gilmore is taking all the heat in this thread but he didn't hire himself.Local82 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 02, 2023 7:21 pm He was a good hire stepping into an awful spot.
