Holy Cross
Holy Cross
Holy Cross 12-7. We are #2 seed. Guess team had little motivation or energy. At least they played that way. With all the injuries D is shaky. Hope we can find our legs in the playoffs. Definitely on the wrong side of thebpeak.

Re: Holy Cross
Too many turnovers 28 tonight. Offense is not playing well. Can only score 7 goals??? Lehigh played defense 3/4 of the game. Cassese never seems to make in game changes.

sloppy, sloppy, sloppy
Re: Holy Cross
Thanks to Navy for beating BU and allowing the Hawks to back into the #2 seed. Turnovers has plagued this team all year and the offense has gone south since the Loyola game (the game vs. St. Bonaventure doesn't count). Defense has been shaky as well and young Spence in goal has not played particularly well since the six game win streak. If it wasn't for Gaffney winning 60+ percent of his faceoffs, the scores could have been worse. Hard to see this team beating either Army or BU if the last three weeks is any indication. Hopefully, Chick can create 5 caused turnovers in the next game and set the NCAA D1 career record. That might be the only bright spot.
Re: Holy Cross
Perhaps the time off may recharge their energy and focus. If not Chick and Gaf may be our only high spots.
Re: Holy Cross
BU it is after they beat up Bucknell. It will be a tough match up for our defense against BU's first team All PL attack duo - Burr and Gray. This is where they are really going to miss Bouhall and Hagenburger. Hopefully they can get back to playing their disciplined zone because I don't think we match up well one on one with all of the injuries. Gaffney has to dominate and the offense has to stop turning the ball over (something they have not been able to do all season). The offense needs to get their rhythm back! What we have going for us is our lopsided history vs. BU and the fact that BU had to play today. Hope they can pull it together!
Re: Holy Cross
Any opponent will be tough for us right now. Inside D has taken too many hits. Compound that with our TOs, games become shootouts. I hope the week off has helped. Gafney, Spence in goal.may turn out to be the keys.
