Rich,

I didn't see the Army game but I attended the American game. Here is my two cents.

We play much better overall basketball when we turn up the defensive intensity. We are very capable of very good defense and when we switched to a pressure defense in the 2nd half of the game, we began to control the tempo of the game.

So like it or not, this is our team this year. We have some very good defensive players. We have quality depth. We can't shoot. So here is my suggestion. Utilize that depth and play pressure defense the entire game. Create turnovers which creates fast break opportunities and easier buckets. Instead of substituting 1 or 2 players constantly, bring out a fresh set of legs en masse. That is bound to wear down opponents who lack our depth.

Just a thought.
