To me, more than fair. Crookham probably deserves a #1 because of head to head. Beard gets ranked higher here because of their ARMA Model. Hines is fair at #19, probably has some upside. Griffin cracks Top 30, probably some upside. Brignola #28 has upside. Logan at #42 was a +11 move for him. He is capable of upsets. His history of being a consistent winner in Top 30 caliber talent is mixed. Just has to peak at EIWA to make Semi-finals.

Herceg/Wilt have to either not make mistakes or just let it fly. One or the other. I say let it fly and go for big moves at EIWA and see if you can get falls.

Taylor solid at #9, may have some upside, possibly NCAA Semifinals. Looks like 7 to NCAA, 8 if Logan peaks at EIWA which I think he will. He's been there before. The atmosphere of individual tournament wrestling gets contagious.
So 8 to NCAA with possibly 5 RD12 is pretty darn exciting. If 1-2 can emerge to Finals, amazing year.

Michael Beard is ranked about right at IM #4 on 2/6. The guys ahead of him are all unbeaten and Hidlay did lay a beating on Beard. It's pick your poison: who do you want in the quarters? Could be Jaxson Smith, Maryland. Who do you want in he semis? Could be Brooks.

This is a loaded weight -- but aren't they all?

125, 141, 149, 157 & 184 aren't loaded. Many "good" wrestlers but none are elite.

The Intermat rankings had Beard at #4 before Buchanan’s loss over the weekend. Beard at 3 sounds right.

BTW, Haines is elite, so is Shapiro, Zerban -- actually all the top 10 at 157.

Lenny Pinto of Stroudsburg is elite on his feet, maybe not so on bottom or riding. He has a shot at NCAA Title for Nebraska. Levi Haines is elite. The weightclasses may not be 8 deep that anyone can win, but there are some outstanding wrestlers at every weight.

NCAA is something else, so you have to be right on your game that day. Anything can happen,

Beard should be 3. 6 is horsesh*t.

Somewhat agree with that Mookie. 157 - Levi from PSU is elite. 141 - the top 3 are pretty damn good. Bartlett, Woods and Mendez.

I was having this conversation last week regarding the depth and quality of wrestlers this year. Obviously there are hammers at most weight classes but it just doesn’t seem as loaded compared to a few years ago.

The one that stands out to me was 174 during Jordan Kutler’s junior year. You had Zahid Valencia, Mark Hall, Myles Amine, Daniel Lewis, Bo Jordan and Jordan in the top 6. The first 5 were all 4X AA’s and 3 with world and Olympic medals now. Jordan was a 3X. That’s about as elite as a top 6 you will find anywhere

Intermat is out and has Beard at #3. Lehigh is now 4’th in Tournament rank tied with Iowa. What an exciting year this has been!!!!

Let's not get carried away.

I'll be elated if they can finish top 10.
