Princeton Dual
Re: Princeton Dual
**** I think the dual on paper will be close with Lehigh favored in 3 matches (141, 174 and 285) and Princeton in 2 (125, 197). The others (5 matches) will decide the meet as they could be toss ups. Here is how I see it:
125: Glory over Paetzell, hopefully Brandon can hold it to a regular decision. Brandon is a scrapper, but Glory is top shelf, which Brandon may be by season end.
133: Farro vs. Agaissie: Agaissie was very highly recruited but has not wrestled much. Farro is a pitbull but his lack of height may hurt.
141: Pomrinca vs.D'Arcy: Ryan seems to have his number.
149: Hoffman vs. D'Angelo: Up and comer vs. Seasoned Sr. Usually goes to the more experienced wrestler but hoping to steal one here. Upset Special Hoffman wins a close one.
157: Humphreys vs. Monday: These two will meet many more times during their careers. Strength vs. Speed. Toss Up.
165: Meyer/Gallick vs. Tiongson: Depends on who goes for Lehigh. Meyer keeps in close, Gallick throws caution to the wind. I think we can steal one here regardless of who goes.
174: Kutler vs. Stefanik: Nazareth product Stefanik is good but no match for the healthy Jordan. Could be bonus.
184: Weiler vs. Parker: Depends on which Weiler shows up. Chris could get a fall early, but if it goes the distance all bets are off.
197: Jakobsen vs. Brucki: Got to go with Brucki. Too strong and better on feet. Hopefully, Jake can hold it to a regular decision.
285: Wood vs. Connor/Ajah: Wood should win and hopeful by a major.
Picking Lehigh 7 matches to 3. Should be a good dual.
125: Glory over Paetzell, hopefully Brandon can hold it to a regular decision. Brandon is a scrapper, but Glory is top shelf, which Brandon may be by season end.

Re: Princeton Dual
Going full optimist here: Lehigh 23 - Princeton 10
Re: Princeton Dual
Thinking Lane and Meyer for Princeton. Then Farro and Gallik for Pitt?
Re: Princeton Dual
Princeton has lots of lineup issues with the two most significant being Brucki and Stefanik. Brucki almost quit the sport over the summer because of multiple injuries so his schedule will be limited and Stefanik is a growing boy with 174 now a distant memory.
Re: Princeton Dual
Ayres probably begged him to stay this season. This is the season Princeton has a fair chance to take the Ivy title from Cornell. Probably not so after this season with the returning Olympic redshirts and the way Cornell's been recruiting.mookie wrote: ↑Thu Nov 21, 2019 10:08 am Princeton has lots of lineup issues with the two most significant being Brucki and Stefanik.
