Wrestling Luncheon-Navy

Post by TMH » Wed Dec 18, 2019 12:06 pm

The Senior Alumni Council will be hosting their annual luncheon prior to the Navy wrestling match on January 18. Denny Diehl has graciously agreed to discuss the Lehigh-Navy rivalry and update us on what's happening with the team

The cost of the luncheon is only $15 and if you wish to register and don't have tickets to the match, we have a limited supply (50) of those too for $7.

For those coming from a distance, we will be hosting American the night before, so you can make a weekend of it.

For more information and to register see the Lehigh Events Calendar or

It should be noted this is the 100th Lehigh Navy Match.

This year also is the 98th LU-Cornell meet. Note that because of the squabble a few years ago there was a two year break in the series, although the meetings jumped up one because of the 3-4 match in the National Duals

It should also be noted that Lehigh leads the series 52-47-0, after trailing for the first 104 years. We wrestled Cornell and Navy in our first two dual meets in 1910.

Final call for the wrestling luncheon. See the link for details. The food count needs to be in tomorrow and we still have a limited # of tickets available for the match.

Come hear Denny give an update on the team (there seems to be a lot of questions) and the rivalry.

FYI... and I hope it fizzles or I'll be eating my tickets.

Friday evening into all day Saturday, advance weather forecast is showing SNOW...
(it's a four letter word that some, like me, despise.)
1"-3" Fri. eve, 5"-8" all day Sat. ... that's down in the Bethlehem area. Same for moi up in Tobyhanna.
PRAY that the !#$%%^#@ snow veers down south or zips out to sea.
OR just plain don't happen at all.

... we now bring you back to your TV program, now in progress. ;)

The irony is that this weather system is still in the Pacific Ocean, expected to make landfall in the Pacific Northwest on Wednesday.

Hey Dave, that weather forecast is for way off and is probably about as reliable as the recommendations of stock pickers. I'm coming and planning on stopping off at Big Daddy's on Pembroke pre-match for one of their superior cheesesteaks. Interested in meeting up?
