There's a good chance that Jack Foley's magic scotch tape is working and that we'll see Hoffman at 149 for the Army dual. Presuming nothing else goes wrong, of course.

Should be a great dual. Wrestlestat presently calling 125 and 174 for LU, 165 for Army and seven more or less toss-ups. They see 149 as a toss-up whether Hoffman or Moran wrestles but I would think Hoffman is the better bet.

not sure how 285 is a toss up, Wood beat Sullivan twice last year

We can ourselves underrstaand why JW had some bad matches early on, Wrestlestat has to take them at face value- no excuses.

True, but wrestlestat's pick algorithm often ends up with head-scratching results that aren't even consistent with its own ranking algorithm. I've seen it pick the lower ranked wrestler even when he's lost head to head as well.

Well Sullivan is no slouch and it might be close but really hard to see JW losing

Wood: 2-0 vs Sullivan, vs Common Opponents: 21-0 (Sullivan 16-6)
Wood: 2-0 vs Heald, vs Common Opponents: 34-2 (Heald 16-16)

Gotta say Wood is favored.

The only common opponent this season is Big Boy Furman whom Sullivan beat 3-1 and Wood beat 5-0.

Sullivan is no slouch, but you have to give Jordan the nod based on past wins and comparative wins. 'JW' has his strength back and along with his quickness I have my confidence that if it comes down to 285, we'll have "the hammer."
