Makes good sense. Could be just what the doctor ordered.

**** Mh1 said "Wisconsin". What makes you think that? Do you have anything to back it up?

Legger,

Chris posted the news on his Twitter last night and the boys over on the Penn State site reported it. That is where I saw it, no inside information. Looks like Dow will fall on his sword this year for Coach Bono. I like the new mercenary landscape in college wrestling for its intrigue. As the “Ole Piper” used to like to say, On We Go!

I will miss seeing Chris Weiler, he was a warrior.

Evidently the staff warns guys to be prepared to graduate in four years, because they can't count on five years of financial support. This is the downside of that approach; guys who graduate in four years can head elsewhere.

Chris will be missed big time - a good kid. My money is on him AA’ing next year. Even with a partial scholly, Lehigh’s $60k+ a year is hard to swallow for 5 years. Reader should be a good fit as a coach, too.
Thank you Chris for your time as a Hawkineer!

Has he ever beaten an All-American? Do you think he will improve more in the Wisconsin room than he did in the Lehigh room?

He beat Deprez from Binghamton this year. Likely others over his career. Good luck Chris, enjoyed watching you over the years.

Deprez has never been an AA. Just looked through wrestlestat, and Weiler has not beaten an AA in his career. Contrast with Darmstadt, who has beaten six in his career, or Max Dean, who has beaten five, or Preisch, with about ten.

So the question remains: what is it about the Wisconsin room that was absent in the Lehigh room that makes one think Weiler will become a better wrestler?

Badgers have 4 legs and can't be ridden as easily as Hawks?
