I think the basic premise is that grades, GPAs and applications are Lehigh's job, not part of being a fan

Who ever said otherwise? The point raised was that he'd be admitted no questions asked; I don't think there's any real chance of that. The Schram case should have taught us that.

The discussion began with admitting students, no questions asked, because the wrestling team has a need. Questions needs to be asked, up front, to verify that the student can handle the academics, and also that the wrestler is able to wrestle.

Doesn't change anything. Schram went to and graduated from Stanford. What academic issues came up? You mentioned the kid as if something did.

Gavin Teasdale is on the open market and anyone interested would be wise to closely scrutinize his grades.
