Looks like Laf took the Track out. Probably when they built the locker rooms at the west end of the field?

A quick look at Metzger Complex shows pards have track, astroturf FH, Soft and Base ball fields, A competition Soccer field, 2 other soccer fields, and another field that is probably womens Lacrosse practice field (Womens LAX has different field markings from Men. I think LU uses the old Soccer field for that purpose

Hadn't thought about that. Men's lax uses Banko. I don't know that I've seen the women practicing. So likely it is back over at Kaufman.

back to Goodman

The Google earth Pictures were evidently taken summer or early fall. There are 3 full size and two smaller soccer fields at Kaufman, but they have extra goals, so set up for either soccer camp or intra murals. the one located closest to goodman stadium is labeled soccer practice field.. The three normal football practice fields and the old soccer field are lined for football. Over at the Rugby fields, there is a field marked for Womens Lax. (Banko Fields also marked for womens at that time

The article I read said it applies to stuff on public property. "The prohibition does not apply to demonstrations and first amendment-related activites; private events that are not advertised such as family gatherings or weddings; recreational activities for youths and adults with fewer than 25 participants; and events and gatherings taking place on private property such as performance venues."

Sounds to me like Penn can pack the Palestra and get away with it.

Love that word activites.

No wrestling fall or spring. NCAA owes athletes 2 years.

OK, going with your thought process... Does that mean scholarship athletes will pay back their tuition and room/board awards, since they didn't actually compete?

Neither the NCAA nor the institutions owe the student-athletes anything. They are receiving an education, without the ability to participate in an extra-curricular activity.

>>>>>>> Please. You forgot to add: through no fault of their own. It is the institution that is preventing them from competing. I can only conclude you were kidding.

Don’t see why he would be kidding, unless you are referring to the part about paying back their tuition, which was clearly not serious, but was used to make a point.
Of course it would be through no fault of the student athlete. However, his point is accurate. They are there for an education first, which they are still receiving, with their scholarship money intact.
It would really suck for the student athletes, but I don’t see where the NCAA would owe them anything.

Curious where the term “student-athletes" came from?

Sorry but it is a ridiculous premise to think any scholarship athlete would owe money for not performing. Do injured athletes pay anything back? No-need aid has some restrictions but in this case of COVID shut-down, it would never fly. Parents would sue each school and win. Shutting down an institution and having students learn on-line is the governor here. Hard to "perform" when you can't be on campus through no fault of your own. Just ridiculous to think otherwise. As for the NCAA, they absolutely don't owe anything -- each institution grants aid, not the NCAA. That allows them more time and resources to screw everything up.
