Seems the Executive Branch and Congress still like the work he is doing.
Back state side from Brussels. New assignment.
Vice Admiral Colin Kilrainm USN
Associate Director for Military Affairs, Central Intelligence Agency
As of August 7, 2020.
Colin graduate high school in 1976, Post Grad at Blair Academy 1977, Lehigh lineup in 1978 (lost to NCAA 4th by criteria, who lost to NCAA champ in bracket in OT) a very tough side, defer year 1979, NCAA 3rd 80, 81, 82.
I guess Colin is 60 now. Entered US Navy in 1985. Has been retirement eligible since 2015. Given where he is at, it looks like he would be on short list for another promotion or Executive Branch appointment. Will be interesting to see if he wants to go another 8 years. It's been his only life as an adult.
Great young man back then and even greater man now.
10 U.S. Code § 1253: Mandatory retirement age for general and flag officers is age 64. Officers in O9 and O10 positions may have retirement deferred until age 66 by the SECDEF or until age 68 by the President.
There is another Bethlehem area guy, Rear Admiral, Scott Pappano, USN. Graduate #1 USNA 1989 and then MS-Nuclear Engineering from MIT. He heads up development of next generation submarines. Pappano's father worked longtime for Frank Banko.
Seems USN is in good hands with landlocked Bethlehem guys,
Vice Admiral Colin Kilrain
