I really only have PA as a reference point but I'm not sure what or even if there is a correlation between individual competition in wrestling based on school size.

I never really thought of wrestling as an urban sport. The cities of course have the largest class sizes typically. In PA being a 2A school does not preclude you from wrestling a whole lot of 3A schools or open tournaments.

Interestingly, Ridgeview (Matt's HS) has about 1,600 students in grades 9-12 or about the same as traditional powers of Nazareth or Phillipsburg. They are about 2 X the size of Bethlehem Catholic or Notre Dame (which is another issue).

With all that said, the QF opponent lasted twice as long as the 1st round :34 :-)

Where is the bracket(or whatever) you are looking at?

Does not appear on Flo, Track. or a general google spot?

Trackwrestling

While in PA I agree with what your saying TMH I don't know that it carries over to less, ummmmmm, prestigious wrestling states like Florida......there are exceptions though and Matt Rodriguez seems like he may be one of them...
