Lineup vs. Pitt
Re: Lineup vs. Pitt
Begin with who's in school and who's healthy. That's never the full roster. Then pick 20 who are capable of making weight.
I think we need to consider the "regular season" to simply be a warmup for EIWAs and NCAAs. Get guys some bouts. Maybe by the end of February they'll be somewhere near mid-season form. It's going to be unusual.
I just suspended my YMCA membership. Never thought I'd do that. This was after consultation with my doctor yesterday; we're having ten times the new cases we had back when we first shut everything down. The Y has recently put up more signs about wearing masks in all public areas; that wasn't a good omen.

It mandated masks in all public areas, except when actually exercising, when it reopened back in May. What's different is that now you can't walk ten feet without seeing a sign informing you about the policy. If the Y feels the need to inform the members every 15 seconds about the policy (and everyone is already wearing masks in the public areas), it's not a good sign that they feel safe about being open.Sundayamqb wrote: ↑Fri Jan 08, 2021 10:27 pm
Seems like if the Y wanted to avoid cases it would have mandated masks a long time ago.

Man, I haven't even gone to my outdoor fitness area for a year, and miss the perfect low pull-up bar. I wouldn't dream of going to the Y, especially with the more contagious variants waiting in the wings. Does this suck or what? Hope the rest of the Lehigh season can somehow proceed.
Re: Lineup vs. Pitt
I returned to my fitness center a few weeks ago after having gained a few pounds, become noticeably weaker, and being a little depressed over my ever worsening physical condition. It's a pretty big facility and, being retired, I can go in the afternoon when there are typically only about 12-15 fellow exercisers on the two floors and 0-2 in the locker/shower area. They question you and take your temperature at the door, masks are required everywhere, and the equipment is marked so as to require distancing. Much easier to distance in all areas of my gym than in my local supermarket. And since the personal trainers pretty much have nothing to do, they're constantly going around spraying the equipment. I don't think I'm taking much of a risk going there, but I know I'll be taking risks by being in poor physical condition at my age.

Re: Lineup vs. Pitt
Anyone know if on this ESPN app we get to just see 10 matches or will they show all the extras as well?
Re: Lineup vs. Pitt
According to a Pitt release, https://pittsburghpanthers.com/news/202 ... ehigh.aspx, the extra bouts will be shown on the same site after the dual.
Re: Lineup vs. Pitt
The ESPN schedule shows 2 Pitt-Lehigh matches. The first one begins at 5:00PM and second one at 6:30PM.
Re: Lineup vs. Pitt
Might as well scrap NCAA sports for rest of year.
As for life, I'm 91 in April and since Planet Fitness opened in late September or so, I'm there every morning at 8am.
Before that, never missed a 5 mile walk each day even during lock down.
Never felt healthier. Must be the new breed of whiners we've produced since the late 60s.
