Taylor is Champ
Edmondson finishes second.
Not unexpected for #3 Edmondson going against #1 seed. What was the score?

He lost 3-2 to Nathan Higley PA AA #4 last year, a George Mason recruit, I believe

Last week Edmondson had lost to Higley 11-1. With this years format You might see the same pair meet 5 weeks in a row. Higley is of course Sullivan Co, Ammerman's school. A very small school without the tradition of a Benton or Line Mountain

Saw this blurb on Zac Martin

The unbeaten Martin (14-0), a PIAA medalist last year who will be looking to make his fourth trip to Hershey, became Neshaminy's first two-time Southeast Regional champion since Mike Pirozzola, a 2000 graduate.

It sorta stirred up memories of what could have been.

Each of our 4 PIAA recruits (not including Crookham), are competing in one of the 4 different Super regionals. All will be webcast on Flo.Saturday. 8 competitors per weight. Need to finish in the top 4 to get the states. The AA s have the same schedule, The two AAA differ from each other, and from AA.

Could we have won NCAA in 2003 or-04 or 05 with a healthy high performing Pirozzolla?

in
2001-02 he lost 2 Jantzen at CKLV and came beck to 3rd. His career was effectively ended at National Duals when,, against Frayer of OkU, the ref refused to stop for an injury, for like 30 seconds. He did come back for 2 more losses. I think he tried to rehab for another semester, In between those two he lost 4 bouts All guys who won either 2 or 3 bouts at NCAA. He 8 losses his Frosh/Final Year. 6 were vs top 10 seeds at nationals(he also had at CKLV a victory over 1 who later beat him Kuylsyicki of Mich), He lost to DEbruin of Hofstra, who had 2 consi wins So of his 8 losses, only 1, the final 1, was bad (I simply know nothing of the drexel guy he lost to. -- All his wins except over K was bonus, as were most of his wins his redshirt year.

Answering me I own question. OKSU untouchable those 3 years.

an MP 3-5th in 2003 gives us 3rd

an MP 3-5th gives us 2nd

in 2005, We underperformed with JT and TL 3rd, instead of on top where they could/should. a 3-5 MP along with that could have moved us from 8 to 2nd, But MP 3-5 and no other changes we don't likely make top 4

Since the 1950s the only EIWA team to have a real shot at winning NCAAs was Cornell in 2011. In 2004 we finished 46 points behind Okie State. Add two champions to everything else we had that year and we'd have had a chance.

1975 team could have won:

Destito could have not had the flu. Also, He should have gotten the first seed, his only blur was in the all star meet, which by the rules of the time should not have counted in seeding.

If McCorkle beats Stevens ===McCorkle always had a lead, and choked, even when they wrestled, even in HS. Stevens losing in the pigtail could have cost Iowa a lot of points. Of course he DM probably should have been seeded 7-8

Pat S + Mark L could have wrestled up to their seeds , or up to what we thought they could

And B Sloand could have not suffered a career ending injury against Cal Poly.

Not one bout away like Cornell 2011, but nothing unreasonable.

Those Trenge-Letters Teams weren't competitive with OkSU, But were mostly competitive for 2nd, No Guarantee that the Cowboys would be that good in that Era
