Ohio State's 197/285 in the transfer portal. Redshirt Junior would be a great add for Lehigh.

If we were confident he could make 197

Sure would.

I had hoped that when Buxton made his way from Blair Academy to the LVAC, we would see Blair once again become a pipeline to Lehigh. Other than Milonas and Kutler, there really hasn't been much of a top tier migration.

Without the athletic department resources of Ohio State -- I don't think he makes 197 at a school like Lehigh. Just an opinion.

I would love to see Griffith but so does everyone else. Smart money on one of the Ivies. Could even be Columbia which is near his home base. UPenn is also an option with Slay at RTC. Cornell might play keep away and try to add him to make a run at the team title....will be interesting.

Griffith is waiting on the final final decision on Stanford's program. Assuming they're officially kaput he's headed to Michigan.

He's supposedly graduating this August so wouldn't be able to wrestle Ivy. The Ivies only extended graduate ability to in-house this year seniors.

Can you elaborate on that? Lehigh is a much smaller school but I have always been under the impression that our strength and conditioning coaches were pretty top notch. I was also under the impression after talking to several wrestlers that we do engage sports nutritionists. Perhaps the commodity that is missing is simply time. Academics and the time constraints involved at Lehigh could be a factor.

Or I may just be misguided on all of this.

The thinking is that if You are spending 6-10 hours less a week studying, you can spend 6-10 hours a more running and working out on cardio machines it is a little easier to hold 197.

Except it's a lot more than 6-10 hours a week. Iowa has 3 work-outs per day. No point to talking about these large Power 5 schools in the same breath as us. There is no comparison anymore and as one poster mentioned: "it's not 1965 anymore." Programs care a heck of a lot more. Did VA Tech care way back when? (no) Missouri? (hardly) NC State? (barely) Nebraska? (maybe a little) Northwestern? (no) --- Here's who cared back in the day: Okla State, Oklahoma U, Iowa State, Iowa, Michigan State, Michigan, Lehigh, Penn State, Syracuse, Pitt, Minnesota -- they were the main ones....maybe I missed a couple.

Minnesota did not care until Robinson came.

Do you think OhSU guys spend 15-20 hours more per week training than Lehigh? I think it is more like 6-10, especially major to major

Missed Navy, UNI, LHU, Bloom
