Little concerning to now see 4 Eagles in the portal (Harvey, Leandrou, Curry and Clarke). Puts their active roster down under 20. Lots of freshmen who did not see action this year and a pretty thin incoming recruitment list (I found 4 on a list that Flo has). The strange release of Coach Moore and still no replacement for the upcoming season. Hoping for good things to come but the optics don’t look so good.

Picking through the carcass of a dead program now. Harvey & Clarke would be good adds but it's all a bit unseemly.

There's no sign of American dropping its program. They've had a few large donations in the past couple of years and denied the cancellation of the program when asked about it in January. They've always had a small roster (by my standards, 22-25 wrestlers) and it's not unusual for graduated wrestlers to enter the portal to look for support elsewhere. Just because they're looking doesn't mean they're leaving. It's unfortunate that three of their best guys are going into their sixth years, but there's nothing unusual that I see.

I'm interested in Campbell, actually. 14 wrestlers, more than one-third of their roster, are in the portal. Unlike most coaching changes, they can't follow Kolat to Navy.

Campbell guys came for Kolat. I believe at one point he had over 50 on the roster. With 5th/6th year, a number of Campbell guys will still be around next year. Young me will be looking for other opportunities whether D1 or D2. Whether other SOCOM teams or possibly MAC. Campbell's a fairly religious place also, so may be some culture shock for some. Sentis showed he could get it done with what Kolat left. Will be interesting to see how Sentis recruits. He gets guys from wayoff places like Alaska, but also will need to get the top guys out of VA, GA, FL, SC, NC, TN region. Campbell looked pretty good at NCAA. They are for real in SOCOM and should be favorites again.

American currently sponsors 14 sports. That is the minimum allowable to be a division one program. So if they dropped wrestling, they would have to add another sport.

Bulsak of Clarion would be a good pickup at 197 (assuming Jakobsen says goodbye) if he's academically compatible. He would at least fill one of the upper weight holes.

According to Flo's Senior Tracker, Jakobsen won't be back and Wood will; Paetzell isn't listed.

American does compete in indoor T&F M&W, although they apparently lack an inside facility, so maybe they have 16.

They don't list it separately. They mention one or two events attended both away. (I think a meet and the Patriots)
