Surprising to me that this is only the 2nd time a Lehigh wrestler has won this award in the last 19 years with the other one leaving the program shortly after winning.

This one comes to us from Florida. You can find gems down there :-)

Congratulations Malyke.

He has a bright future. With added strength he's going to be something.

**** Like Mookie says if he gains strength he can be really something. He already has quickness, aggressiveness, good ability on top and is quick to get the initial TD. Those positives along with his length (5’10”)and leverage advantage could add up to a really could 141 or even 149 if he can add the muscle and associated strength that goes with it.

A few of our guys this season looked like they needed to get the lead out of their shoes. Hines wasn't one of them.

I too believe that additional weight training will bump Hines up a weight class. I wonder if McGonigle will then move back down to 133 where he seems to be more fitted for.

Seemed like both Lane and Hines dominated this year in a reduced EIWA. Made me think of Cruz-Parker back in the day. So why so much talk about moving up?

Hines looked good at 133, other than a poor decision on going chest to chest with Daton Fix (bad decision for 99 percent of wrestlers at D1 133).....Not sure how hard the weight cut was for him but from a far away perspective I would guess tough....if he builds muscle mass I would guess he would become a no brainer 141 at the least......

I see Yianni as a 149 lber next year, I would think 141 will not be an enticing weight for him anymore with the olympic dream in the rear view for now....Hines would fit quite nicely at 141 in EIWA with slightly more muscle mass, he is aggressive and fun to watch wrestle....the wild card is Paetzell, if Paetzell comes back at 133 where does that leave McGonagle? So theoretically we'd start off a dual Lane, Paetzell, Hines..........Not a lot to dislike with that.....Of course that's if Lane can hold 125.......

I guess in the end let's just hope 2021-2022 is a "real" wrestling season, and all these questions actually matter....and that Denny eventually realizes his I know better shtick doesn't sell "insider" wrestling rags.......

a.) because he's 5'10", confirmed when I talked to him at his 1st LWC Team Picnic two Septembers ago

b.) because when I asked him what he thought he'd wrestle as a senior, he smiled and replied: "probably 165"

After looking at some old photos of baseball All-Star teams and then looking up the "official" heights and weights of the players, I refuse to believe any height or weight provided by any athlete. I'm not saying that said athlete is lying, I'm saying that said athlete is incorrect.

I don't think Hines is 5' 10". I thought for several years that Ben Darmstadt was a good deal taller than 6' 3", and finally the Cornell roster agrees with me.
