Wilt wins the regional 3-1 over Renna

Perhaps NJ.com was closer to the truth than we know. Now on to states.

Won't have to worry about defending champ Cosgrove. Out with a broken hand.

Robby Robell from Bishop McDeavitt was a 180# wrestler with a 30-10 record last year. Over the summer, he lived in the weight room and put on about 60-70# of muscle and went 30-1, losing to Nathan Taylor in the state finals 5-3.

Some wrestlers cut drastic amounts of weight to get to what someone considers an optimal weight. Others, it seems decide to go in the opposite direction and pack on muscle and wrestle at a weight that feels healthier to them. I don't know much about Wilt's story except that he wrestled at 160# last year and 195# this year and seems to be prospering at the higher weight (Only time will tell).

Brignola's bracket should be interesting. He lost to the #1 seed in SV. It was Max's only loss in this shortened year.
