Wilt is ranked #1 in NJ at 195 but #3 seed for his regional qualifier?

The one seed is ranked 7th and the 2 seed is unranked in the state rankings, state rankings are by NJ.com not the state but still seems odd.....

If you had followed NJ.com's sports coverage over the years you'd know that with them, oddity is the norm.

Rankings and seedings are two very different subjects

Honest question. How do they differ except that there are 2 different groups trying to make the same subjective decision?

Is there certain criteria that one uses that the other doesn't?

Rankings and seedings are different? Wow man, news flash, thanks for that tidbit of information...I never would have guessed.....

Like no s**t Sherlock, was merely pointing out how odd that particular discrepancy was, 1st in the state versus 3rd in just a regional.....quite a difference.......and I'm sure you can point out a time in 1968 when Joe Schmo was ranked #1 in the state and Oh My God he was seeded 4th (!!!) in his region.....and then Denny can point out how in 1974 Jack Hoff was ranked 1st in the nation (!!!) and was unseeded in his regional....

Some insight would be enlightening from someone who follows NJ wrestling or Mr. Wilt's case in particular instead of the usual condescending replies from the usual suspects.... who seem very afraid of any actual conversation about wrestling other than what went on in the past....
