Glad Connor McGonagle got recognized with bid even if he won't be able to use it.......

Good to see Mcgonagle and 2 more Drexel Dragons. Both Barczak and O’Malley didn’t look real good at EIWAs but glad they got their tickets punched.

Miller of Bucknell qualified a bid at 141 for conference but did not get bid. Stefanik gets in.

... That might be the skinny up in Buffalo but word just in from campus is that he's eager to take his shot.

Hate to revisit the belabored subject of seeding, but should McG wrestle in Nationals, what's the expectation as to his seeding in light of his regular season record but failure to finish EIWAs and coming in as an at-large?

If he is healthy to go, he would likely be seeded the same as is he lost a decision and did not show up for hist match. so likely top 10.

not s easy question. Had Max, after losing his quarter final, won four to take third, thereby win 3rd , would he have grabbed the WC?

It certainly wouldn't have hurt, but we'll never know. The four guys who received the at-larges at 149 are Austin Gomez, Dylan Martinez, Caleb Tyus, and Doug Zapf. Max may not have made the pool of guys considered; finishing 3rd, he would have. That would have given him a second criterion, finishing one spot out of the automatics. So then the question would be whether he'd have beaten any of those four out for one of the spots.

Gomez was 2nd in the last CP ranking, didn't have an RPI. Max probably wouldn't have beaten him out.
Tyus was 18th in the CP, 17th in RPI. Probably not.
Zapf was 12th and 5th. Probably not. All three earned pre-allocated spots.
Martinez was 32nd and 30th. Did not earn a pre-allocated spot. Maybe. He'd have been the easiest to pick off.

>>>>>>> Rumor floating around at the EIWAs on Sunday was McG might be able to give the NCAAs a shot.

I have no real knowledge about his injury, but I hope he can give it a go without adding to his injury.

He certainly earned a shot by strong showings against top 10 opponents and was rewarded with his top 5 ranking from a panel of coaches.

Somehow the EIWA seeding process didn’t get that message and dropped him to 4th.

I agreed with the coaches panel that had him 2nd in the EIWA and believe the fan were cheated out of a Vito—McG final .
