Eligiabilty
Eligiabilty
Sorry in advance new fan... looking at roster it list 2 yrs... example for Beard it lists Sr. El:Jr... so in a case like that i'm assuming he's a Sr but has a yr left of wresting eligiabilty.. is that correct? If so it looks like the whole team returns next season?? Sorry if this is an obvious question

Re: Eligiabilty
>>>>>>>> You are correct———virtually the entire team has at least one more year of eligibility if they decide to use it. Lehigh has some attractive grad school programs that some wrestlers utilize——like Logan and Frinzi this year.
Re: Eligiabilty
Thanks for response. Historicallly speaking do wrestlers tend to use it and stay, transfer or graduate and move on?
Re: Eligiabilty
Retirement attrition would be a good thing for Lehigh's roster.

Re: Eligiabilty
My opinion is that maybe 2/3rds use their eligibility. But a function of status: starter, spot starter, room guy. And then the issue of injury history.
Re: Eligiabilty
logical, thanks. Again new fan of the sport and looking ahead to next yr seems to a HUGE novice with everyone potentially returning and Mcg getting used to a new weight team has huge potential. Anyway appreciate the responses
Re: Eligiabilty
I'm almost certain Beard was a grad student when he arrived here. He graduated HS in 2018, took a grey shirt, a red shirt and wrestled 2 years at Penn State. He may be running out of courses to take. I would be very, but pleasantly surprised if he returned next year.
Re: Eligiabilty
Beard has one year left after this season. The word on the street is that if he makes the podium this year he may not return.

Re: Eligiabilty
Hope that is incorrect as he is National champ material if not this year with Brooks he would be next year.
Re: Eligiabilty
I Can't see Beard beating either Brooks or Hidlay this year. If he wants a National title, it will be next year.
