In those two in particular, we would have 10 mats. So after we did a few rounds to balance the numbers left per weight (usually by quarters) we would keep all ten mats going and would then go 1 weight per mat. There was no mandated rest time between bouts yet. He loved it when you got to or past the semis as there would only be one or two bouts on your mat between bouts. He told me the other heavies couldn't keep up with him recovery-wise!

My favorite a few years back was Gordon Wolf. 32 seed who lost early then went on a run of wild and wooly bouts to reach the blood round. You could tell he was just letting it all fly and thoroughly enjoying every match.
One of my favs. A Wolfman bout was never dull.

Gordon let it fly every single time he stepped on the mat.

Loved watching him.

WHERE is (past history) on that list of Criteria determining one's appropriate SEED? :o

Obviously Fix's status as a 3X Runner-up TRUMPS what Crookham has accomplished THIS year to which I cry "BULLSHIT!"

It (past seasons) has no effect on seeding. The bottom half is the better half of the bracket anyway - particularly if Vito is injured.

If either Stanich or Crookham can out-wrestle their seed, Lehigh could be bringing home a trophy. A couple pins from Griffin wouldn't hurt, either.

Never trust my memory, but didn't NCAA cut trophies from 4 to 3?

Correct. They made that announcement earlier this year (during the season).

Guys over on Mineo's site almost unanimous in view that Crookham got screwed. And these are guys with no horse in the race.
