Re: PA v USA
Still one of the worst decisions in the history of commitments. Not a great field overall though for this event.Mountain Hawk wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2024 12:37 pm
Not great when the commit scoreboard says:
Lafayette 1
Lehigh 0
Re: PA v USA
Kinney, obviously doesn't want to wrestle in college. That's really not our business in terms of being a bad decision. Lafayette is a good school. He'll get a quality education and play some ball.
Re: PA v USA
Agree. We don’t want to have another David Craig situation. If they want to wrestle, they’ll wrestle.
Re: PA v USA
He could have done better than Patriot League football. Seems like he sold himself short.

>>>>>>>>>>Returning to the origin of the thread———PA 172 AAA champ Spencer is a Lehigh commit but is a jr. Seems he would have been representing PA unless the event is limited to seniors.
On a side note, psu’s recruiting is off the charts good but you wouldn’t know it from the school listings that show more guys committed to Rutgers than psu.
Lastly, something is going right with Lehigh recruiting when 4 guys are seeded top 5 at the NCAAs.

Rutgers has more because there aren't many #1's next to any of the kids names

Oh give me a break. Lehigh itself puts out shirts saying "friends dont let friends go to Lafayette". Dont go soft on us

There was interest. Iowa and Penn State on a wrestling scholarship were prepared for him to be a preferred walk-on for football. Both schools wanted him at center or guard. Kinney wants to play defensive side of the ball at DT. The family also wants to see him compete, so for the most part, it would be a school within 200 miles of Nazareth that would have landed him. However, I believe Lehigh football did extend an offer.
Lafayette Club Wrestling could be a beneficiary.
