Taylor's a perfect example. If someone had told us in October that he'd be the 5th seed in March, we'd have run out to buy some of what he was smoking.
Really, while I'm not sure I expected Taylor to be the 5 seed I did expect him to be low top twenty (like 11-14) before the year started, when I got a good look at him and how he had improved his shape my hopes were immediately for better........your statement is like it's a total shock?

He's going to get Ryan backing up early and Ryan will be forced to keep hitting those shots. Vito looks like his old self so far.

Ryan needs to learn to stall without backing up. Problem 3 times in the last 6 bouts

Backing up is an understatement. He literally ran. Not a good look.

It’s a good look that he’s in the semis….circling would have better optics for sure…if he wins a national championship backing up I doubt anyone will be upset with the look

I posed the question about Arujau/Crookham III on the Intermat forum... the general consensus is that Arujau will take the rubbermatch tonite.
I would incline to agree... but I really hope that I'm dead wrong on this one! ;)

Crookham truly is a technician out there, always calculating, not sure he cares one bit about the optics....... just seems to know what to do to win......

Vito does look good though, Crookham needs to defend AND score/ride.....if Crookham is on his bike it will be called quickly against a defending national champ..........will NOT most likely be a low scoring match this time (versus other matches so far in this tournament for Crookham).......

This is the thing... he is NOT underestimating these guys. he wrestles conservatively and smart to get the win the way he needs to. beating bailey was a massive win solidifying Ryan's rightful place at the top of the pack. absolutely outstanding.

agree here. This doesn't look like the Vito he wrestled the first 2 times. Will need at least 2 TDs if not 3
