Spring football
Spring football
According to LFN and Craig Haley a schedule is in place starting in early March. Possibly with divisions and a title game to determine playoff participant in the playoffs.

Re: Spring football
The FCS Ohio Valley Conference schedule is out ... looks like seven league games -- almost all on Sundays -- starting Feb. 21 and ending April 11. That should give us a good idea of the schedule to get the teams ready for playoff football. In other words, these teams would have to start practicing pretty soon.

Why, I wonder, Sundays? Other than n respect of your name

Re: Spring football
LOL ... must be it.
I'd have to temporarily change name to MondayAMQB
Actually, I think the issue might be there will be a ton of other sports going on at the same time. Think about LU logistics: Would they have home football, lax, baseball, field hockey, softball, etc., all going on at the same time. Scheduling -- including for officials -- could be a challenge. TV -- I mean "streaming" -- time?
Like basketball, I imagine most, if not all, games will be played on weekends with doubleheaders, home and home or Saturday/Sunday games at same sites, but who knows???
Re: Spring football
PL published the scheds for all Fall and Spring sports
Football
5 game sched with North and South Divisions.
LU Pards and Bison in the South. Cap is a Title game between Division winners.. Each team will play 2 out of division games.
All things considered not a bad plan. Upside is we will have football. . In one respect its like an extended Spring practice with more live football with at least 5 full contact scrimmages. Great prep for next year.
First games are on 3/13. Season ends 4/17.

Re: Spring football
and Hoyas opt out so only 6 teams
Re: Spring football
The elephant in the room remains. None of these games impact player eligibility. TG noted that he has some seniors returning. Many seem to be using that extra year to play elsewhere. The real issue going forward is the underclassmen. Per the NCAA it seems PL now has redshirting after a fashion. Limited by PL academic rules.but still redshirting. I think it will be very interesting going forward.
Re: Spring football
Seems strange to not just do a round Robin. It looks every school is within 4 hours of everyone except Buck - HC, so Neutral this year
Re: Spring football
According to Sterrett, PL aim is to minimize overnight trips for teams. Trip to Gate just under 200 miles. About 4 1/2 hrs by bus. Doable but brutal. Cross is about 265 milies. 5 1/2 to 6 hr trip. Even more brutal.
