Let's see who does better this week. If both Stanich & Crookham shit the bed, then all bets are off.

I'll take the opposite stance ... I think the team will finish on the podium. I won't be bummed with any top ten finish, but I think this is the year.

In the last ten tournaments we've had 21 wrestlers seeded in the top 8, 13 of whom placed. We've also have 7 wrestlers seeded outside the top 8 who did place. So we've had it both ways in roughly equal numbers, without any advance warning on how things would work out.

My crystal ball's out for repair so I'm not making any predictions. In the last decade we've had approximately one A/A for every top 8 seed. With 4 top 8 seeds, history tells us to expect 4 A/A's, though they will not necessarily be the seeds. I'll be rooting for a lot more than that, of course.

A 7th seed finishing rd/12 is not a big miss, but it’s a total bummer for the wrestler.

I'll pretty much keep the same expectations I had at the beginning of the season - in other words, not too many. None of this top 5 stuff for me until it happens. It's insane how fast we all went from HOPING for a top 20 finish to expecting top 10 or even top 5. A matter of months and a handful of matches. If we have a few all-americans I'll be happy. Anything beyond that is cause for celebration.

Priesch DNP'd from 3rd seed in 2018; also dealing with an injury.

Yeah, I know it's insane given all the tough matches with potential upsets in many rounds, but I'm sticking to it.

Unlike the previous 25 years, we have not attended a Lehigh match this year. Until recently, I did not realize that our team has the potential for placing 3rd at the Nationals. (IMO there will be a 9 team horse race for 3rd).
We have three rookies. I wish them well! Lehigh has had a freshmen national champ, however, wrestling at nationals is a different animal. I can't wait until noon tomorrow, to see Jake Logan start our journey back to the Top 10. Per the seeds, we have 4 potential AAs. Some "experts" claim that we could even have a National champ. As we all know, there is no sure thing in wrestling (except Cale Sanderson). Good luck to our eight wrestlers.

I agree, no sure things. Regardless of outcome, I am going to enjoy seeing them give their all and I am sure it will be a good showing.
