Re: Name, Image and Likeness
Yeah, but it still comes down to who is interested in designating NIL money to wrestling. I would submit to you, Lehigh has 'some' advantages there. Wealthy, wrestling-centric LU alums are probably more plentiful per capita than at ASU, for example.

Re: Columbia Head Coach Opening
Some validity to what you are saying, but most would say Chris did a great job. Beat Cornell in a dual snapping an obscenely long Ivy streak. Beat Lehigh a few times. In the end, he *did* recruit Kolodzik, Glory and Monday (among others like AA Brucki) so you can't just discount that.

Really? When you get to that level of excellence, it can hardly be regarded as a step down.

Gimp: you can correct me if I'm wrong on any of this Tom Hutchinson accepted an appointment to West Point out of high school, but left and transferred to Lehigh. He placed 3rd in Illinois states as a senior, losing to Eric Bates who was NCAA top seed in 1971 (finished 5th.) He entered Lehigh's IM wr...

Re: Lehigh Valley Open
Steck ran it. It was the biggest wrestling tournament in the country for many, many years with well over 600 entries. I actually helped ref it as a member of the team in '71. There were some very sound wrestlers entered and it wasn't easy to win.
Legendary indeed.

Re: Columbia Head Coach Opening
Ok. Yeah, maybe Tanelli 'fled' but Roger stepped aside for a younger guy and Ayers took a step up -- can't really say they "fled." Koll left because the Ivies cancelled his season when they had a great team -- pissed him off. Stanford was not exactly a bad job. Of course, he's back at his ...

Re: Transfer portal
Agree with your sentiment about branding and marketing. Trouble is -- will the University 'brand wrestling' as their premier sport? Compared to wrestling , all other sports combined (men and women) have precious few AAs in their history. It is utter nonsense not to designate Wrestling as THE sport a...

Re: Columbia Head Coach Opening
If you are referring to a Dillon replacement, yes, elevate ZRey and Evan Henderson and hire a new guy.....plenty to choose from.
