Coach Locust takes on more responsibility this year as Defensive Assistant, Defensive Lineman/Linebackers Coach, and Co-Special Teams Coordinator.  As the only female coach in the NAL, she returns to the Steelhawks staff to work with the defensive line and linebackers in her second season with the ’Hawks.  Locust was born in Philadelphia and raised in Harrisburg.  She graduated from Susquehanna Township School District, where she is entering her ninth season of coaching.  Locust has also been a part of the Central Penn Piranha staff that won a semi-pro National Championship; working with their offensive and defensive lines.  Locust turned to coaching after playing four years of women’s semi-pro and suffering a career ending injury. Locust has helped coach the DMV Elite men’s semi-pro team to a championship season as a defensive line coach.  She also assists the Keystone Assault women’s semi-pro team as defensive line coach when time allows around the Steelhawks schedule. In addition, Locust is affiliated with East Preps and has been working with their Team America and FCS Bowl games as Defensive Line and/or Linebackers coach to showcase talent from around the country to scouts at various levels.  She currently works as an Account Executive with PA Media Group. Coach Sadler brings a lot of arena football experience to the Steelhawks staff.  He last played in 2012 as a member of the San Jose Sabercats of the Arena Football League as a Defensive Back.  Before joining the Sabercats he played for the Philadelphia Soul (AFL) for the 2011 season when the team returned to the league after two years off.  Before the AFL took a hiatus leading into the 2009 season, Sadler played for the Chicago Rush for two seasons as a two-way player – playing both WR and DB for the 2006 Arena Bowl Champs. Prior to making the jump to the AFL, he spent a season in the AF2 with the Tulsa Talons where he was runner up to Rob Keefe for Defensive Player of the Year.  Before a career in Arena Football, Sadler worked out for some NFL teams including the Chicago Bears and Indianapolis Colts and also spent time in the Canadian Football League (CFL) with the Montreal Alouettes before being released in camp. Coach Sadler finished his college career at South Western Oklahoma State after transferring from Delta College in Stockton, Ca.  He has a degree in child psychology/special education. Coach Parham returns to the coaching staff as Offensive Assistant, Line Coach, and Co-Special Teams Coordinator.  He previously coached with the Steelhawks in their inaugural 2011 season.  He moved on to coach with the Trenton Freedom as the OL/DL coach and is the current OL coach at Bethlehem Catholic.
