Thanks for the info Rich.

Just one of the disappointing elements of the covid situation is that there is very little info on most '22 recruits. They were only freshmen when they last competed.

I think she competed for Clear Spring HS and had a 1.54 ERA. She already throws at about 64 MPH and is primarily a riseball and drop pitcher. When she learns to use a full arsenal of pitches, she could be special. Time will tell. Hopefully there is some form of spring season this year.

This falls under the category of amazing #s but unsure of the competition. It is still fun to follow during the massive lulls in college competition.

High School softball has begun in Maryland. Clear Spring has played 2 games. Hess, a junior, has pitched a total of 10 no-hit innings, striking out 27 batters. Seems like very few hitters even touched the ball. Chloe, however, went 4 for 4 with a walk in the 1st game while hitting the cycle.

Sounds impressive. Softball is such a a pitching dominant sport. Depth at hurler is a key to championships. Looking forward to LU returning to the NCAAs in the near future.

Chloe Hess pitched a one-hit shutout with 16 strikeouts and scored the lone run of the game as the Blazers defeated the visiting Railroaders for the 1A West Region II title Saturday.

I haven't seen any complete stats but she appears to have given up only 2 ER all season averaging over 2 SO per inning. She is also hitting over .600

Update for the '22 season. Again, not sure of the level of competition but Fran is really high on her.

Chloe Hess is 8-0 with a 0.00 ERA and 97 strikeouts in 37 innings pitched for undefeated Clear Spring. She also is batting .667.
