If there is any position really wide open on this team, it's kicking. Once again though, here is my problem. Lehigh has 3 kickers on the team this year. One is listed solely as a punter. Another, though listed as both P/K was listed as the #1 punter in California with not much said about his kicking. The third handled kickoff duties avg 56 yds/KO but he too had more accolades as a punter in HS. The former two are freshmen and the latter is a sophomore.
Our newest recruit falls into the same category a punter who can also serve as a kicker.. I was hoping for a a guy who is a super -reliable PK and if he can punt, that's good too. Riley Reithman really filled that slot perfectly and had no major offers until recently from Navy.
I wish Reinhard all the luck in the world and hope he is the answer. Focus on place kicking this off season and he may just have a real shot when he gets to Lehigh.
