Holy Cross

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

One takeaway is comparing the 2 deeps. Holy Cross is practically all seniors and juniors. Ours is mostly frosh and soph. A telling difference given the similarity in the levl of talent.
coaching challenge for sure

About 20 minutes to kickoff! Hopefully the team will be ready to roll. Expectations are definitely high in Worcester.

Realistically, if they can avoid getting beat up too badly by HC and Colgate the talent is there to notch "W's" against Bucknell and especially Lafayette. If nothing else, just don't go 0-4.....

2-2 would be great.

I thought Lehigh was going to be be pretty bad this spring. They might be awful. They OL and QB situation is perhaps even more in the dumps than I anticipated. Only Lafayette might be more hapless on offense. They're back to O'Malley....

This is a complete a mismatch in all aspects imo. It's not like Degenhardt is lighting it up either. If Lehigh's offense doesn't do something in the second half the final stats/score are going to be real ugly.

17-3 at half. Cross may be real good with more PT. Right now he isnt. Awkward on read handoffs. No interior clock. Not up to game speed. OL still a work in progress to say the least. D has been good. Both TDs from our mistakes on O giving Cross short field.
Kinda hoping to see Shoup in the 2nd.

Rust and inexperience are stifling the O. Not to forget Cross has a very good front 7.

Cross is not a run threat. Why is Brisson using read handoffs to RBs. Just slows down the play.

20-3 L

D is superb. O is not. Johnson and Foley are real deals. OL weak with leaky pass protection. No push on runs. To be fair. Cross front 7 very good.
CW not ready for Prime time.Perhaps rust. Perhaps inexperience. Getting Jorge back will help. But QB needs at least some time. All the QBs got hit way too often.

Upside TG got a lot of guys into the game. D is ate least as good if not better than last year.

The offense is inept and based on what I've seen I'm not sure what would be the reason for optimism? When you fail to develop a competent OL and QB you don't have a chance.

Point totals under Gilmore/Brisson. This is worse than the Troy Brown era...

12 games

13, 10, 13, 10, 21, 30 (OT), 27, 17, 10, 6, 16, 3

Colgate up next in Hamilton!!
