Football Schedule
Football Schedule
The final schedule is now out and it is formidable. The Ivy League is back with 3 teams (Yale, Princeton, Penn) plus OOC Villanova and Richmond.

This will be a really young team this year with only 10 juniors listed on the roster last season. I'm told there will be 8 seniors and 2 grad students.

Re: Football Schedule
A tough schedule from day One particularly for this very young squad. Less than a third of the team will be upperclassmen. Very little to be gleaned from the limited games played this past COVID season. So lots of summer speculation until August.
Re: Football Schedule
It looks like Lehigh just announced the start times for home games, and one minor change that appears to have taken place relative to past years is that home games will start at 12 PM rather than 12:30 PM.
Re: Football Schedule
Interestingly, looking at the roster, the stronger unit is the younger unit. The offense will have quite a few returning players. WR may be the area that is most depleted.
Re: Football Schedule
That's no minor change, at least not to me. Note that INCLUDES Lehigh/Lafayette. That's 1/2 hour less tailgating and 1/2 less pregame atmosphere. More to the point I don't understand the reasoning for it. It's not like football fans have been clamoring for earlier kickoff times for months.

No prohibition from starting to drink 30 mins sooner....lfnadmin wrote: ↑Fri Aug 06, 2021 5:47 pmThat's no minor change, at least not to me. Note that INCLUDES Lehigh/Lafayette. Re: Football Schedule
Maybe they're worried about the lack of lights -- and a lack of offense. Could we have a 0-0 OT game that goes on forever, or are does each team get a maximum number of attempts to score? Then it's a penalty kick shoot out!
Re: Football Schedule
Ivy poll released- 1. Princeton 2. Yale 5. Penn Nova as high as 17# and Rickmond 24# FCS nationally. At least we aren't doing anything crazy like Nebraska or some other P5 team.
Re: Football Schedule
Lehigh has a solid schedule this year. I'd like to see this continue as Gilmore recruits mature. LU needs to be tested day in and day out to be hardened for the regular season and to improve our playoff consideration.
