Princeton

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

Listened to the happy hour report last night...AD said this is Princeton team is best team we are playing all year. 17 returning super senior starters...84 listed on roster...almost all are Jr/Sr....JV squad is loaded with 2 and 3 stars not on roster...we last played them in 2018 losing 66-7. I do hope we can run the ball in the read option...add some jet sweep and some TE passes over the middle. Sounds like this will be a tough game.

Thanks opa.

Perhaps more a lessening of expectations than an assessment. On paper, I agree. Young teams are usually at a significant disadvantage playing a much older veteran squad. Our 3rd game-Tigers' 1st with no games Last year. Admittedly both our games were sh*t shows. The one thing we gain is game speed. It will take Princeton time to reach that. How much will play into how close this game will be. Of course, we have to do much better at keeping the ball, avoiding more "giveaways".
Given all the QB drama I am less than optimistic that we will. Just hoping.

Lehigh hasn’t achieved “game speed” either.

Start the bloodbath countdown.

Gilmore and DB Jack Bush are under no illusions about the challenge their team is facing this Saturday, but they feel there’s a way forward on Saturday.

“I think that first game (for Princeton) is really tough,” Bush said. “and there’s a lot of energy and jitters to get out of your system. So we definitely need to take advantage of that and just take care of what we can.”

This is the 61st meeting in the series, with Princeton leading 41-17-2. The Mountain Hawks have won 13 of the past 18 matchups, including five of the last seven. Lehigh has won the last three games in the series played at Goodman Stadium.

“We’re not going to lay down and die,” Bush said.

Seems very unlikely. A lot of drama this week with the QB situation. If, as I suspect, it wasnt resolved, I wouldnt expect to see him today..
