Colgate

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

You've got to feel really bad for the players

LOL.. such drama Poor babies actually shake things off pretty quickly. Losing or beating Colgate isn't exactly a huge deal for any of these guys.

You really think the players are indifferent to losing?

How well do you think any athletes shake off being outscored 100+ points over the course of 4 games? They’re on their way to having a historically bad season and losing to Colgate just made that possibility seem imminently more plausible.

And you don’t think that’s a big deal to people competitive enough by nature to play collegiate athletics?

Are you trolling?

What year is Beesmer? I thought he was a senior who has not exactly lit up the scoreboard over his career. Choosing another Qb to start is a coaches call & some kids can’t handle that & transfer to a place they can start.

I am looking for that high school stud QB like we have traditionally been able to recruit. It doesn’t appear we have any in the stable at this point which is a bigger concern from my perspective.

I’ll kindly set the record straight for you Engineer. A quick look at the Lehigh website would show that he was the last QB:

To throw for 200+
To have a 4Q lead in a Lehigh game
To have positive rushing yards
To lead the team to 100+ rushing yards (3x)
To throw a TD pass in first game

If you’d like more…his YPA, YPC, # Red Zone trips, # First downs, total yards per game, and much more are markedly better than all QBs dating back to beginning of 2019 season. Fact check me, please.

“Coaches call”…..I will not comment or share an opinion on the staff, but when that kid leaves the program, it might be time to take note.

With all due respect Engineer. You should gather facts before sharing ill-informed opinions about my kid and what he can or cannot handle.

Take a look at some video and decide for yourself. https://youtu.be/3gye6PG_c4I

Are you trolling? Not at all old man. Trust me it's not nearly as big a deal as you think.

If getting your butt beat badly week after week and losing to a team as bad as Colgate isn’t a big deal to these players, then we have the wrong players. And that’s a recruiting/ culture problem.

So maybe it’s not a big deal to these kids but if that’s the case, I am even more worried.

I think it will become less and less of a "big deal" to these kids as the season wears on. They are college kids with academic and social lives. They will, understandably, mail it in on this staff. There is NO CULTURE right now.

That basically puts a finer tip on my point. All college athletes have academic and social lives and yet I very seriously doubt they are all apathetic. We def have the wrong coaches. Whether or not we have some kids we shouldn’t is a question I can’t answer cause I don’t have enough information. But even if that’s the case, it’s a recruiting problem and it comes full circle to the coaches.
