If we were broken when Gilmore got here, WHAT ARE WE NOW? All these teams that are beating us handily experienced a pandemic too right. We have ZERO touchdowns through 6 games. We had 119 of total offense against a bad team today. Our passing leader for the season has 267 yds, rushing 83, receiving 110. Our scoring leader board has one entry, the kicker.....THROUGH 6 GAMES!!! Gilmore et al don't deserve the right to finish the season, much less another one.LUEngineer wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 2:37 pm Recruiting takes 3-4 years to build from the broken system that both New coaches inherited. Add the pandemic with no on site visits & both deserve another year or so in my opinion.
Bucknell has a much different situation. No 5th year resulted in losing all conference WR. OL Sophs and Frosh. QB is Covid Soph.
That’s said. They have more points, yards, and wins than Lehigh. This is pure offensive insanity. Never in my life have I witnessed a more incompetent OC. Gilmore should offer up a sacrifice if he wants to save his job.

To richH, lu90. DF2002 lehigh74 and anyone else disgusted at this representation of our Alma Mater let me say this:
AD Sterett has already sent a very loud message to all of us and that is "I don't care". He made a decision to hire Gillmore and he wants us all to live with it. OTOH If he has some courage ,,the Coaching Staff will be replaced or shuffled this week
If no changes are made right now the larger question is are you all content to let this ride OR make some noise???

It’s truly mind blowing that Brisson has been able to keep his job year after year.

Re: Penn
Put this clown out of his misery. These post game comments show just how clueless he is. Everything is always worse for him, which is a joke! When the leader makes excuses, it’s over folks.
Gilmore: "There's been some challenging things this year, without a doubt," said Gilmore. "But I always felt like we were moving in the right direction and I still do. To have your quarterback get knocked out in the beginning of the game like that, you never expect it. But it always needs to be next man up. It's the nature of the game and it's not something we want to use as an excuse, but this year we have been challenged more than most."

Re: Penn
When is the last time Sterrett fired a coach in any sport for performance? Has he ever done it? I don't follow all the Olympic sports, but the last coaching change for wins and losses that comes to mind is Sal Mentesana 20 years ago. And he had about 4 years of having among the worst teams in the country.
That's probably the best indication of wether or not a move is likely.

13 straight losses, first time ever! Goes back to 1884. Extraordinary failure requires extraordinary action.StablerBum wrote: ↑Sat Oct 09, 2021 7:43 pm When is the last time Sterrett fired a coach in any sport for performance? Has he ever done it? Keep in mind….a Richmond fumble and a blocked punt v Colgate created the 6 points in those games. Without that field position it would be 5 straight games of ZERO points.
