Georgetown

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

Georgetown

Post by Sundayamqb » Fri Nov 12, 2021 7:53 pm

I think this is the first time on this board that no one's posted about an upcoming game by Friday night.

Notes are up -- not that anyone cares -- but looks like W#2 should be on tap.

24-10 if the weather is acceptable.

If it's as bad as my weather app tells me, could be 6-0, with a missed PAT.

Yes, radar showing that rain should be arriving between 10-11 a.m. and continuing to about 3 pm, just as the game is ending. I think it will be a close game, regardless. We're down a couple OLs and both TE's, but I see our guys stepping up. There has been a bonding experience as they have travelled this tough road this year, and you could see that at Bucknell. With our newfound running game, a wet game may be to our advantage...so long as we don't have a minus in turnovers.

I too see a close game. Team can't afford to take Georgetown lightly.

Gtown D too soft. Lehigh D will shut this Gtown offense down.

Lehigh wins and covers.

Hardly a battle of the unbeatens tbh

But should be a decent contest..wow Lehigh goes for it on 4th down but didn't fool anyone

They announce how Brisson our OC has been here 8 years (8 too long imo)

Deep into 2nd Qtr and I am a Son of a Seacook but the Lehigh team is clicking!

Perri Burbarage and entire Defense saving the year for Coaching Staff ...? Let's see what happens

Again , the last 3 teams we play are scrubfests but it is what it is

Headed to WIN #2

23-9

Dante looked good.....DePietro and Hill ran hard for nice yards

Defense was OK....but Georgetown exposed our young secondary for big yards.

A W. Overall well played by O and D.
Agree 808. They played a cushion coverage way too much. 8-10 yd cushions made it just a pitch and catch for Hoya QB.
Give Pearson his due. Another mix and match OL that played pretty well.

Pards a better test I think and we will have to be better to get that W.

Another hats off to coach Gilmore for his second nice game albeit against the bottom of our league. A Victory over Lafayette salvages an incredibly horrible start & hopefully sets up a competitive season next year.
