Early Signing Day

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

Commits:

Joshua Philemon West Orange DL
Darian Ghahary Randolph DL

Mistake:

Tyler Ochoski Freehold LB, NJ.com has him listed as Bucknell.
Ghahary is known to be a PWO. Apparently, Philemon is also. Lehigh, as I assume all colleges, will not list them in their formal announcement.

Nice bull rush at the HS level. He'll need to develop more hand combat skills and lateral movement at the College or be Pidgeon holed as a Nose guard.

I’ll keep it simple. Today was disappointing and signals a real recruiting problem. Very clear to those who follow college football that the ATH is most abundant. Did very little to get better up front.

TG went for needs and athletes first. OL is the largest position group in our offers but we have 13 returning plus 2 3*s that never saw the field. OLmen who can step up as frosh are not common for us or any FCS team. LU has 3 starters and a couple of lettermen. If we can stay avoid the last fewcyears of revolving door of OL assts I expect Pearson can put together a good OL.
TG noted today that he is only about half done with this class. Expect at least 2 or 3 OL in the next 8 or 9.

I suppose a peril of a coaching change.

I believe Lafayette had 25 seniors last year. They had 4 signings in this early period and Troxell will need to get his staff in order, assess their needs and hit the road quickly. Although he does have a month on TG when he started.
