Saving Gillmore's Job

Back-to-back PL champs 2016 and 2017.... but need to get back to relevance in the national FCS scene.

Also, the fact that the athletic director is not responding to emails, sent by concerned alumni, questioning the direction of the program is reprehensible and totally unacceptable. Both of them deserve all the criticism they are receiving.
+1.

I’m still confused why this thread is titled “Saving Gilmore’s Job”. Why and how would that be the goal?
Sorry about the name of the thread.

I should have titled it "The Extreme improbability of Gilmore Saving His Job, unless the bar is disgustingly lowered to the very lowest rung"". I thru it together in 5 minutes just before leaving for the Buck game.
I literally laughed out loud.

Title makes a ton of sense with context. :)

The hiring of Gilmore remains impossible to explain. With hundreds of available FCS and FBS assistants (some of them former head coaches), winning lower-level guys with earlier FBS or FCS experience, he picked a guy fired in mid-season by a rival?

“Inconceivable!”

Or should have been.

Sterrett has done a great job for a long time. It’s unfortunate that this will be his swansong.

Gilmore's Tenure could compare to Mike Cooley. Cooley had been an assistant to Leckonby, went elsewhere (I don't know where, if he had, in the interim, been an assistant at a higher level or a head coach at a lower level. Cooley then replaced Leckonby. In three seasons he went 5-21-1. But he went 2-0-1 against the Easton Evil.

If we beat the Pards, I would say Gillmore's equals Cooley's, A loss puts him below.

The bye week would be an opportune time to make a change mid-season! Here’s hoping we’ll be toasting good luck to at least an interim coach this weekend!

OC related rumor. Could be coincidence, but his Twitter account vanished as well.
