Colgate
Re: Colgate
A win is a win is a win. That said, today was the most explosive offensive performance of the season for Colgate. They threw for 330 when their season high was 195. Scored 33 points and cost themselves the game when they botched 2nd and goal from 6 inches.DF2002 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 4:05 pmIPSY1975 wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 3:40 pm Great win!!!
But Gilmore is Fools Gold
Lehigh beat an a team who is 3-8
Colgate and Lafayette (presumably) wins will be like the 3 wins at end of 2021 season..
The Team is loaded with some talent particularly The wRs Johnson Jamiel and Burbage..QB had his best game
Let's keep our heads and go out and get a real Coach who will get us Championships for God sake :/
Great news! And correct about fool’s gold… not even fool’s bronze
Lehigh offense was better. 88 was finally utilized. Run game was subpar but I think the new play calling has been a positive.
The trap every year is that Lehigh finishes with weak opponents and there is a sense of hope. There is no hope with Tom. You will replay this every year. Enjoy the win but recognize change must happen.
Happy for these seniors. They deserved this win and they deserved much better in their time at Lehigh. Let’s hope there is only one more game for Mr Gilmore.

I thought Gilmore was brought in as a defensive specialist. That's almost laughable now.
While I was somewhat impressed with Brescia, he has great size, he was inconsistent, but Colgate made too many big plays. LU defense continues to be sketchy.
LU offense was inconsistent, too. It was a great win -- I'm glad for the kids and coaching staff.
But let's keep it in perspective: This was a close, great win against one of the worst teams in FCS and the league. Is this what our program aspires to?

Re: Colgate
I watched the entire game online. While the football program has degraded, the quality of the broadcast has, too.
I thought the commentary was OK. ... I love Yadush.
But I can't believe I watched an FCS game without replays (and the sideline reporter is gone). I would have loved to have watched some of the amazing catches made by our guys, or the questionable calls reviewed by the officials.
I've watched DII program broadcasts with replay capabilities.
What happened?
This program -- from coaching to branding -- needs a complete reboot.

Plus 2
The Broadcast with no replays of all those clutch catches by our 3 WRs was the Pits:/..Yadush makes up for it a bit with his great insights
Their are Undergrad Engineers who could fix that problem!
Correct me if I am wrong but I see E Johnson 88 as NFL material considering height and skills
He needs a tremendous Senior year with a much better Coaching staff to do that...please??

ROFL!
Re: Colgate
1993 the Penultimate Game was at Idaho. I think we were on the wrong side of 77-14. Worst loss of the 20th century?
Still, we won the next week, to win the PL.
A lot of times Buck has been the game before the Pards. They tend to think of us as their biggest rival, and too often it is their last game of the year, or the conference final. Some tough losses there.
